This is an important time for democracy in Ukraine, with a recent Presidential election completed and Parliamentary elections underway.  Strong civil society plays an essential role in consolidating democratic institutions and ensuring accountability in political leadership.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress is pleased to launch Project CONNECT, a cooperative project with the support of CANADEM, intended to foster stronger connections between Canadian and Ukrainian civil society, non-governmental organizations. CANADEM is an international not-for-profit NGO dedicated to advancing international peace and security through the rostering, rapid mobilization, and mission management of experts committed to International Service with the UN, other IGOs, NGOs, and governments.

All it takes to get connected is a short survey online

As Canada and Ukraine prepare for the 2019 Ukraine Reform Conference (URC) in Toronto this July,  the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is a excited to be a partner with Ukraine House Toronto, the accompanying unique multi-format platform for private sector, civil society, government and international partners.

Looking ahead to the Ukraine Reform Conference, UCC is undertaking a project to better connect civil society groups in Canada and Ukraine who may want to connect in future, through launching a publicly accessible online directory. We believe that building strong connections between organizations in both countries will ensure cooperation for many years to come.

We are looking for Canadian non-profit organizations looking to join our database to connect with Ukrainian partners.

A publicly accessible online directory of civil society organizations in both Canada and Ukraine will be launched with a goal of fostering stronger more direct ties.
